We waste time worrying about where we're jumping instead of preparing ourselves for the fall. The falling takes no effort, the jump does.

Without seeing "the fall" as something pessimistic, I think more people are afraid to jump rather than searching where to jump. We waist time worrying about the outcome when we have no control over it.
